Your impact
As the Production Manager, you will lead our operations at the Rainham, Essex facility, focusing on efficiency, quality, and scalability of meal production. Your role is pivotal in ensuring food safety, managing daily workloads, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) through continuous improvement. You will be responsible for team leadership, operational excellence, and maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Efficient Operations and KPI Management:
Proactively manage the daily workload of the High Care shift, achieving production efficiencies, quality, and health and safety KPIs through a continuous improvement approach.
Team Leadership and Development:
Manage, train, and develop Team Leaders and their teams for optimal effectiveness. Handle all people management aspects and coordinate labour during shifts.
Collaboration and Planning:
Work closely with planning and other business areas to achieve manufacturing targets. Develop and maintain strong relationships across departments for successful operational outcomes.
Food Safety and Compliance:
Ensure strict adherence to food safety protocols as a food handler, maintaining a clean and hygienic production environment
About you
Relevant Experience: Prior experience in a food manufacturing environment and managing a large, diverse workforce.
Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise teams directly and indirectly, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and efficiency.
Knowledge and Expertise: Extensive knowledge of HACCP, quality systems, and health & safety management.
Communication and Results Orientation: Strong communicator and negotiator with a results-driven approach, capable of effective collaboration to achieve targets.
