Production Manager – Precision Manufacturing / CNC

Mon – Fri 8.00-16.30 (flexibility essential)

We are recruiting for an experienced Production Manager or highly experienced Senior Production Supervisor to lead operations within a high-precision CNC manufacturing environment.

The key focus for this position is a strong technical background in precision engineering and CNC machining, combined with proven experience leading and developing production teams.

What we’re looking for

Strong background within precision manufacturing / engineering

Extensive knowledge of CNC milling and turning, ideally including multi-axis machining

Understanding of tooling, fixtures, machining strategies, feeds and speeds and process optimisation

Experience producing complex, high-tolerance components

Ability to confidently interpret engineering drawings

Proven management or senior supervisory experience within a CNC/precision manufacturing environment

Strong people leadership skills with experience managing performance, developing teams and driving production targets

Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement

Strong focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC)

Experience with capacity planning, resource management and improving manufacturing processes

This role would suit an established Production Manager, or a strong Senior Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Supervisor who has substantial people-management responsibility and is ready to step into a Production Manager position.

The precision CNC manufacturing background is essential – we are specifically looking for candidates who understand machining operations and can confidently lead within a technically demanding, high-precision production environment
