Production Operative

• Annual Salary: £26,000 - £28,000
• Location: Chelmsford and Rayleigh Depots

We are working with a local tool hire business seeking hardworking, methodical individuals who take pride in their work to join their workshops. This role is perfect for those with an interest in machinery and electrical equipment, offering a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a successful company.

• Clean, maintain, and service equipment once it is returned from hire.
• Perform electrical testing on all returned equipment.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the workshop.
• Carry out minor repairs on equipment.
• Ensure all safety information labels are clearly and precisely displayed on all equipment.
• Input testing information onto a customised computer system.

• GCSE or equivalent (preferred).
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year (preferred).
• Previous tool hire experience is not necessary as comprehensive training will be provided, including PAT Testing, IPAF & PASMA courses, Manual Handling, Fork Lift Truck training, and more.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
