Production Operative - Crawley

Blue Arrow are actively seeking Production Operatives / General Assistants to join a successful and vibrant team based in Crawley, near London Gatwick Airport. As a General Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring catering products and goods are prepared, handled and distributed to airline customers in line with strict scheduling requirements.

Our client is a leading provider of inflight catering, onboard retail and logistics services to major airlines operating across the UK. They are committed to delivering exceptional service and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and operational excellence.

Key Information

Pay Rate: £13.39 Per Hour (£18.08 for overtime)
Hours: Full Time, 40 hours per week, 8 hour shifts between 04.00 to 23.00 Monday to Sunday. You need to be fully flexible between the shift times and days.
Contract: Temp with potential to go Perm
Location: Crawley, RH10

Key Responsibilities

As a General Assistant, you will be working in one of the following areas within the business:

Production

Preparing and plating food
Handling packed food goods
Packing amenity kits and flight condimentsEquipment

Stacking shelves
Rotation of stock
Reordering dry stockWash

General cleaning
Waste removal
Washing airline equipment to industry standardsSearch and Seal

Inspecting goods to ensure there are no prohibited items
Checking stock for any damage
Completing relevant paperworkPlease note that duties may vary and are not limited to those listed above.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

To be successful in this role, you must:

Be able to handle pork and alcohol products
Be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility
Be comfortable working in a chilled environment
Have a good level of English

Screening Requirements

Due to working in the Aviation Sector, If you are successful, we will need to carry out the following:

· Basic DBS Check (Criminal Record Check - No cost, Blue Arrow will cover this)

· 5 Year Employment History Check including references

· International Check (If you have worked outside of the UK in the last 5 years)
