Job Title: Production Operator
Location: Tanfield, County Durham
Contract: Temp to Perm
Salary: £12.80, moves to £13.16 when perm
Shifts: 3 shift rotation: 7am – 3pm, 3pm – 11pm, 11pm – 7am
We are seeking a Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Production Operator looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced production setting where quality, safety, and teamwork are highly valued.
About the Company
Our client operates within the food packaging manufacturing industry, producing high-quality products for packaging applications.
The Role
As an Operator, you will play a key role in ensuring products are manufactured, inspected, packed, and labelled to the required quality standards. You will monitor production, complete relevant documentation, maintain traceability records, and work closely with the wider team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor product quality and ensure specifications are consistently met.
* Complete production and traceability paperwork accurately.
* Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process.
* Remove and report non-conforming products.
* Pack, label, and prepare products to customer specifications.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and follow health & safety procedures.
* Support smooth shift changeovers and departmental efficiency.
What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Production Operator or Thermoformer Operator
* Previous manufacturing or plastics industry experience is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
