Production Planner

Elevation Recruitment Group- Business Support Division are excited to be exclusively partnered with a growing FMCG business in South Sheffield (Close link to M1) in their search for a Part-Time Production Planner to join them on a permanent basis.

We’re seeking an experienced Production Planner to support manufacturing and supply chain operations on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong planning background who can confidently manage production schedules, coordinate with co-packers, and ensure efficient stock management across UK and EU operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and schedule production with third-party co-packers based on stock levels, demand forecasts, and minimum order quantities (MOQs).

• Use Excel-based tools to track inventory and coordinate shipments to EU fulfilment centres (FBA).

• Create and maintain accurate production orders and batch records in SAP.

• Update and monitor demand forecasts, highlighting risks, opportunities, and stock-related concerns.

• Ensure timely and complete production delivery (OTIF).

• Support SAP functions including stock transfers, batch tracking, and inventory accuracy.

• Communicate production and schedule updates across teams in a timely and clear manner.

• Identify and implement process improvements and assist in resolving recurring planning issues.

• Act as a team player, providing cover during holidays and key projects.

• Build and manage strong relationships with co-packers in the UK and EU.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field.

• Prior experience in a Production Planning or Scheduling role within a manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency with Excel for planning and reporting.

• Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement tools.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.
