Job Purpose Statement
As a key member of the Supply Chain team, the Production Planner plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of Pukka’s daily and weekly production operations. Reporting into the Planning Manager, this position is responsible for the planning, coordination, and availability of all materials, ingredients, and packaging required to meet production schedules with 100% alignment to demand, stockholding targets, and storage capacity.

This role is central to balancing production efficiency with customer satisfaction. The Planner will finalise and release weekly and daily production schedules, optimising production flow and capacity to ensure timely delivery of finished goods. Additionally, this role will actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiencies in planning processes, resource use, and cost optimisation.

Key Accountabilities

Requirements

•    Develop and maintain accurate daily and weekly production schedules in line with customer orders and forecast demand.
•    Collaborate closely with the production team to manage workloads and shift priorities based on operational needs.
•    Ensure all raw materials, packaging, and components are available in the right quantity and at the right time to support uninterrupted production.
•    Monitor and adjust plans proactively to address supply issues, equipment downtime, or sudden changes in demand.
•    Track and report on production output, KPIs, and progress against targets to drive performance and accountability.
•    Maintain up-to-date scheduling, order, and inventory information within the ERP system.
•    Work cross-functionally with procurement, warehouse, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure alignment and resolve issues quickly.
•    Support and participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance planning accuracy, reduce waste, and improve overall supply chain effectiveness.

Person Specification

•    Demonstrates alignment with The Pukka Way—showing respect for people, the environment, and the brand’s heritage while delivering high-quality work.
•    A minimum of 2 years' experience in supply and production planning within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
•    Strong knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Business Central, or SAP).
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the business.
•    Proven ability to build positive and productive working relationships within cross-functional teams.
•    Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
•    Comfortable working under pressure and adapting to change while maintaining a calm and focused approach.
•    Analytical thinker with good judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
•    Proficient IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

Role Scope

•    Work Pattern: Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday
•    Working Hours: 06:00 – 17:00 (including 1-hour lunch break)
•    Flexibility is very important to Pukka (cover holidays and absence)
