CCL Global is recruiting Production Planners at multiple levels to support complex manufacturing and engineering programmes within a highly regulated environment.
We are looking for planners with backgrounds in manufacturing, materials or engineering, with experience coordinating production demand, materials, capacity and manufacturing schedules.
Location: Reading
Contract: Long-term contracts Inside IR35
Working Pattern: Full-time onsite
Security Clearance: Active DV preferred; active SC candidates willing to undergo DV may also be considered
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain detailed manufacturing and production plans.
* Translate Master Production Schedule requirements into achievable production plans.
* Maintain accurate planning information within MRP/ERP systems.
* Coordinate and de-conflict manufacturing demand, materials and available capacity.
* Monitor material availability, supplier deliveries and production constraints.
* Reforecast production plans in response to changing operational or supply-chain requirements.
* Develop manufacturing routes and detailed methods of manufacture.
* Apply Lean Planning and Production Control techniques including Kanban, Push/Pull and visual management.
* Support production cost and schedule estimates.
* Monitor KPIs and provide accurate production performance reporting.
* Work closely with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, operations and other stakeholders.
* Identify constraints to delivery and proactively drive solutions and continuous improvement.
Essential Experience
For Production Planners, We are looking for candidates from either engineering or manufacturing/materials planning backgrounds.
Essential experience includes:
* Production planning within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
* Understanding of machining processes, manufacturing routes and shop-floor operations.
* Materials planning, supplier deliveries, purchase orders and production scheduling.
* Ability to reforecast plans in response to supply-chain challenges.
* Strong stakeholder management across manufacturing, operations, supply chain and suppliers.
* Good production reporting, forecasting and planning-system experience.
* SAP/ERP experience desirable.
The Senior Production Planner requires broader production planning and capacity-management experience, including:
* Balancing demand, supply and manufacturing capability.
* Translating Master Production/Supplementary Schedules into detailed plans with daily granularity.
* Creation and maintenance of Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) models.
* Detailed manufacturing planning covering time, cost and quality.
* Manufacturing cost estimation and challenging operational/manufacturing times.
* Managing the release of customer requirements into manufacturing and operational activities.
* Strong MRP, production control and capacity-planning experience.
* Experience within complex engineering, manufacturing or similarly regulated environments Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
