Process Operator - Chemical Site - Days & Nights available
Your new company
Your new company is a leading Chemical Manufacturer based in Wigan, Greater Manchester. They are at the forefront of innovation and technology within the Chemical industry and looking to bolster their production team during this period of growth.
Your new role
This role has two options for working patterns, weekdays and weekends. There are both Monday-Thursday and Friday-Sunday hours available. Both are between 6am and 6pm. Night shifts are also available too. The training rate is offered initially before the full and premium overtime rate.
The main purpose of the Process Operator is involved with the batch manufacture of their products. This role also includes many other aspects of manufacturing and will work as an integral part of the production team. The position includes retrieving, weighing, and mixing/reacting chemical ingredients. Monitoring of equipment during the chemical process and recording information to ensure quality, safety and efficiency are requisites of the role. Further responsibilities include:•To make accurate additions or adjustments to the process when instructed by Laboratory Staff
•To complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner
•Immediately report any incidents that the management need to address using the appropriate reporting systems
•Respond to required corrective and preventive action in a timely manner
•FLT operator duties as required
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have good numeracy skills and preferable experience within a manufacturing facility too. Forklift truck experience is needed for this role. Troubleshooting issues with production equipment and processes and good understanding of sampling and product testing would be desired in this role.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will receive an equivalent salary of between £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on shifts) + an overtime bonus. In addition, there are some excellent benefits to the company, including pensions, healthcare etc.
