Production Supervisor

Personnel Selection are assisting one of our partners with the recruitment of a Production Supervisor based in Salisbury Wiltshire.

Job Overview:

This is a "roll your sleeves up" hands on position, not back office based. You will be expected to lead the teams by example. You will be overseeing the day to day production activities. Dealing with work flow, staff on-boarding, training and general people management. Liaising with other areas of the business, you will ensure smooth production times and lead the teams in a efficient manner. Working within strict health and safety guidelines. Making sure the quality of manufacture is paramount in all aspects of your role.

Requirements to be considered:

You will ideally have come from an engineering background assisting the manufacture of large manufactured goods. You will understand and have knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. Strong people management skills and be able to naturally lead, motivate and manage the production floor teams. Ensuring KPIS are met in an efficient, diligent manner. Ensure strict health and safety procedures are continuously monitored and adhered to at all times. Liaison with other departments regarding quality, output monitoring and interdepartmental queries regarding lead times. Reporting any issues with regards to machining and associated equipment.
