Production Supervisor (Food Manufacturing)

Production Supervisor

Location: Aberdeen

Alexander Steele Recruitment is working with a successful food manufacturing business in Aberdeen to recruit a Production Supervisor.

Reporting to the Shift Manager/Assistant Shift Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the production area, ensuring the team operates safely, efficiently and to the required quality and production standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate production activities throughout the shift.

* Ensure production plans, targets and OEE requirements are achieved.

* Manage communication between production lines and departments.

* Ensure sufficient materials, labour and resources are available.

* Monitor product quality and ensure all QC checks are completed correctly.

* Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety.

* Lead team meetings and identify training and development requirements.

* Coach and develop team members, helping to build a multi-skilled workforce.

* Monitor equipment performance and work closely with the Asset Care team to minimise downtime.

* Support stock checks, works orders, material variances and production planning.

* Deliver improvement projects and organise overtime as required.

* Provide holiday and sickness cover as directed by the management team.

About You

You will ideally have previous supervisory or team leadership experience within food manufacturing, with a good understanding of production, quality, food safety and Health & Safety requirements.

You will be an organised and confident people leader, comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment and capable of managing competing priorities while keeping the team focused on delivering the plan.
