Production Supervisor/Lead Operator Required Aylesbury (PM Shifts)
Role Overview
The Production Supervisor/Lead Operator is the senior operator on a designated production line, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant production while delivering daily targets for output, quality, and waste.
Working hands-on alongside the team, the Line Lead provides direction and support to operatives, ensures SOPs and GMP standards are followed, and acts as the key link between the production team and Shift Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate operatives to ensure the smooth running of the production line. Deliver daily KPIs for output, quality, efficiency, downtime, and waste. Set up machinery and complete routine line and equipment checks. Monitor production flow and promptly escalate issues to the Shift Manager. Carry out and accurately record in-process quality checks. Ensure SOPs, GMP, Health & Safety, and hygiene standards are consistently followed. Complete batch records, logbooks, and other production documentation accurately and on time. Act as the first point of contact for operatives, providing clear direction, coaching, and support. Support the training and onboarding of new team members. Identify and report non-conformances and deviations and support investigations where required. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised production area. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime and minimise waste. Support trials, validations, and continuous improvement projects. Required Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally within pharmaceutical, food, or another regulated industry. Experience in a Supervisory, Line Lead, Team Leader, Senior Operator, or similar role is desirable. Good understanding of production processes, equipment, GMP, SOPs, and Health & Safety. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team. High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality and compliance. Good organisational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Basic IT skills and confidence completing production documentation. Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.Additional Info
Hours: 2.30pm-11.00pm Monday to Friday Salary: £32,000 per annum Start Date: ASAP
