Production Support Technician

Overview
My client is seeking a Production Support Technician to play a key role in supporting the Lean manufacturing initiatives. This role ensures production teams remain focused on core activities such as assembly and testing by providing essential services around material handling, kit distribution, tooling, and consumables management.

Key Responsibilities

* Receive kits from stores and organise them efficiently in the production area.

* Prepare and distribute kitted parts, consumables, and tooling to production operators in line with the production plan.

* Receive sub-assemblies into the stores and issue them to work orders as needed.

* Prepare work-in-progress material for the next stage of production.

* Transport products between manufacturing operations.

* Control the allocation and tracking of specialist tooling.

* Replenish consumable product boxes to ensure continuous workflow for operators.

* Ensure all materials and units are moved and stored safely and correctly, highlighting any quality or safety issues to the line manager.

* Act as the main communication link between Manufacturing and Stores to resolve kit non-conformities and support on-time work order completion.

The Candidate
Proven material handling or production experience.

A good level of numeracy and literacy.

Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Outlook and Excel.

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow through and meet deadlines.

A hands-on problem solver with the ability to identify and implement alternative solutions.

The Package
The salary for this position is £25,000– £27,605, dependent on skills, experience, and ability to meet the key requirements of the role
