Production Team Leader

Senior Production Team Leader, Robroyston, £31,000 to £35,000 dependant on experience

We are recruiting for a Production Team Leader to work at our clients' site in Robroyston, Glasgow.

What you'll be doing:

As a Production Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring efficient production processes. Your responsibilities will include:

• Actively manage and drive Health & Safety performance within the team
• Leading the team to deliver the daily, weekly and monthly production plans and the department KPI's
• Working closely with the planning team to ensure operational targets and objectives achieved
• Ensuring quality of product maintained to both internal and external standards
• Identify opportunities for improvement within production areas and implement corrective actions where possible
• Attending production and operational meetings whilst reporting directly to the Operations Director
• Investigating non conformance issues - escalation as appropriate
• Identifying training needs and implement ongoing training and development to ensure operators maintain and exceed required standards
• Driving team engagement and motivating staff to deliver on targets, goals and expectations
• Effectively manage team performance to ensure operators are maximising their capability within their role
• Daily management of team ensuring compliance with company procedures including:

• Following SOP's and work instructions in line with GMP standards
• Use of machinery, equipment and tools
• Product quality and compliance
• Lean manufacturing methodologies
• Attendance, timekeeping, breaks, holiday and performance procedures

• Previous experience of managing / leading a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Self-motivated with a genuine drive for achieving production targets and operational excellence
• Experience of championing continuous improvement methodologies within a manufacturing setting
