Production Team Leader

Job Title: Production Team Leader / Machine Operative
Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire
Salary: £28,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:30 pm with an early finish on a Friday!

We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Production Team Leader to join a market leading company based in Ripon. You’ll play a key role in overseeing the day to day operations on the production floor including managing a small team, operating machinery and driving efficiency.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in production or manufacturing who enjoys leading from the front in a fast paced, practical environment.

Your Duties asProduction Team Leader / Machine Operative will include:

• Organising and managing daily workloads for the production team
• Supervising machine operators to ensure production targets are met
• Monitoring KPIs and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Operating machinery to cut materials to bespoke sizes
• Assisting with machine maintenance and troubleshooting minor issues
• Leading daily briefings and reporting on output and team performance
• Collaborating with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure smooth operations
• Promoting and maintaining a strong health & safety culture
• Supporting the Warehouse Operations Manager with continuous improvement projects
• Pitching in with general warehouse duties as needed

Experience required:

• Proven experience in a production or manufacturing setting
• Strong leadership qualities and a team first attitude
• Mechanically minded with good problem solving skills
• Comfortable with manual work and being on your feet all day
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Forklift licence is a bonus but not essential

In return, you’ll receive a competitive salary of £28,000 per annum along with a range of excellent benefits. You’ll work daytime hours Monday to Friday with an early finish every Friday.
