Job Description - Production Team Leader (Assembly)
Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a global leader in cutting-edge automotive electronics manufacturing with the appointment of an experienced Production Team Leader (Assembly).
Overall Purpose:
Lead a shift team to fulfil customer delivery, cost and quality expectations on a daily basis. Ensure the safe working of the Team at all times. Drive improvement within the Team to improvement efficiency. Key Duties:
Ensure all team members are conforming to health, safety and environmental policies and procedures. Ensure all quality controls, plans and procedures are adhered to. Maintain the Production Schedule to ensure the on-time delivery of products to the customer. Ensure all team members are trained and following all standard work and operating procedures. Maintain 5S to agreed standards for the area of responsibility. Allocate and adjust labour levels on processes based on changing customer demands. Deal with and escalate performance and conduct issues. Monitor and ensure planned networking time is achieved. Maintain all metrics in line with targets. Conduct first day on the job assessments and maintain training matrices. Ensure TPM activities are completed in line with agreed plans. Plan changeovers to minimise process downtime. Raise requests to Maintenance for breakdowns. Use the ERP system (SAP) to check and monitor stocks and customer demand. Manage the OEE (DMP system) on an hourly/shift basis to ensure OEE data is correctly reported Regular check and update machine planning boards to ensure reliable supply based on current conditions. Conduct regular checking of machine outputs and take actions/get support where required. Support and lead continuous improvement activities (quality improvement, changeover reduction, etc). Show a flexible approach to support business needs when required. Have a can-do attitude and a desire to deliver excellence in the area of responsibility. Have clear communication skills, both written and verbal. Undertake any other reasonable requests.Key Requirements:
Understanding of 5S / 7 Wastes. At least 3 years Supervisory experience. Knowledge of SMED / TPM. Conversant with Microsoft Office Tools.The Package:
£30,000 - £33,000 per annum depending on experience. Double day shift: Mon-Thurs 6.00 am - 1.30 pm 1.30 am / 9.00 pm Frid 6.00 am - 1.00 pm / 1.00 pm - 8.00 pm. Company pension scheme. On site parking. Additional benefits Only candidates based in UK and eligible to work in UK are allowed
