As Production Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of your production area, ensuring production plans are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
You will play a key role in managing staff performance, coordinating production changeovers, monitoring KPIs and driving high standards across your team.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, motivate and support a team within a food production environment Ensure GMP, food safety, health & safety and legal requirements are followed at all times Coach, mentor and develop team members, identifying training needs where required Monitor attendance, timekeeping, performance and compliance training Coordinate and complete production changeovers efficiently Plan packaging, labels, materials and tooling requirements ahead of changeovers Communicate effectively with Production, Packing, Prep and Engineering teams Ensure production downtime is minimised and resources are utilised effectively Escalate equipment breakdowns and operational issues promptly Complete production documentation and records accurately Ensure daily production plans are achieved and communicate any risks or challenges Support new product trials and launches within the area Assist with internal audits and continuous improvement activities Promote a positive team culture and maintain high operational standardsAbout You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience in food manufacturing, FMCG or a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Requirements
Previous experience in a Team Leader, Line Leader or Senior Production role Experience working within food manufacturing or FMCG Good understanding of food safety, GMP and health & safety requirements Strong people management and communication skills Ability to motivate and develop a team Organised and proactive approach to problem-solvingDesirable
