Production Technician

Candour Talent are recruiting a Production Technician to join their client’s team in Port Talbot.

* Employment Type: Full Time/Permanent

* Working Hours: 3-shift pattern (mornings, afternoons, nights), may be required to work a continental shift pattern at a higher shift allowance (4on, 4off)

* Salary: £33 – 35k (Basic rate + Shift Allowance)

Our client is looking for a reliable and hard-working Production Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The role offers secure employment, long-term development opportunities, and a range of benefits.

This role would suit a self-motivated individual with previous experience operating production machinery, completing tooling changeovers, and providing basic maintenance in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

This role requires someone, who takes pride in their work, and an individual with excellent attention to detail.

The Role:

* Set machinery accurately and efficiently

* Change tooling safely and promptly for different production runs

* Work to correct product dimensions, customer specifications, and quantities

* Ensure product is manufactured to the required quality standards

* Complete and record quality checks

* Follow the production schedule

* Monitor production processes, identify issues, and implement any corrective actions

* Keep track of materials to ensure no disruption to production

* Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on machinery

* Work as part of a team

The Ideal Candidate:

* Previous experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment

* Previous experience operating machines, changing tooling, and providing basic machine maintenance

* Able to troubleshoot machinery issues and escalate when needed

* Good standard of basic education, with further vocational qualifications, an advantage

* Conscientious with excellent attention to detail

* Self-motivated and able to work in an organised manner

* Able to follow H&S regulations
