We are looking for a Productivity Packaging Technologist to join the R&D team to support across all our categories here at Valeo Foods UK. This role will cover retailer own brands along with Valeo owned brands and is a super exciting opportunity for somebody looking for their next challenge. 

We are looking for somebody to govern all aspects of R&D packaging productivity projects across the company to ensure cost savings, efficiencies but also discipline is met whilst bringing stewardship to the R&D projects and management to ensure deadlines are met, resources available and allocate. We are also looking for somebody to contribute to the innovation agenda to develop packaging making it more sustainable and deliver our ESG targets across the portfolio.

• To evaluate new and amended packaging materials ensuring they are designed, manufactured and delivered to site fit for purpose to agreed quality, cost and timescales
• To liaise with new suppliers as required ensuring they meet with essential criteria across technical and process
• Be fully conversant in the use and management of external customer technical portals
• To provide ROB project managers and customers with appropriate packaging information necessary to generate artwork and manage the artwork and approval process
• To ensure accurate and timely completion of our specification system and other internal business systems and processes to meet our customer and BRC audits
• To identify and implement value optimisation opportunities.
