Professional Negligence Risk and Compliance Solicitor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Professional Negligence Risk and Compliance Solicitor to join a dynamic Legal & Regulatory team. This role offers the chance to work in a thriving international law firm, providing advice and guidance on legal and regulatory issues, risk management, and training.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the firm's compliance with SRA requirements, global PI arrangements, commercial conflicts, claims, and complaints. What you'll do:

As a Professional Negligence Risk and Compliance Solicitor, you will be instrumental in supporting other Risk lawyers in ensuring the firm's compliance with its regulatory obligations across its global offices. You will assist in managing disclosure exercises, draft and review client-facing documents, risk review contracts, support other Risk lawyers on implementation of Risk projects, and assist with devising and delivering risk training across the firm.

• Supporting other Risk lawyers in ensuring the Firm's compliance with its regulatory obligations across its global offices
• Assisting in the management of disclosure exercises
• Drafting and reviewing client facing documents including client engagement letters, outside counsel terms and legal notices
• Risk reviewing contracts (clients and suppliers)
• Supporting other Risk lawyers on implementation of Risk projects including enterprise risk management, horizon scanning and maintenance of key Risk documents and registers
• Assisting other members of the Risk group with the devising and delivery across the Firm of Risk training

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Professional Negligence Risk and Compliance Solicitor role is a qualified lawyer with relevant experience preferably within an internal Risk team at an international law firm. You bring proven dispute resolution experience (professional negligence and/or professional indemnity and/or in house claims management), strong academics, demonstrable drafting skills, strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of SRA regulation, working knowledge of data protection and data privacy law and regulation. Your risk management experience preferably gained in an international law firm or in-house in an international business will be highly valued.
