Working for a consultancy involved with some of the largest Civil Engineering projects in the UK.

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 basic + Package including Lodgings

(Full lodging is provided as you will be on site 4-5 days per week)

Location: Southampton

(Based on site 4-5 days per week)

Role Description

As a Programme Lead, you will be leading the Civil Engineering scheme on behalf of the client, managing the £100m scheme from start to finish.

Managing the client team on site, ensuring the project is being completed against the contractual agreement and design specification. Leading Technical, Commercial and Operational function with a team under you, managing these elements with the associated contractors on site.

Main responsibilities will vary on a day-to-day basis but could include:

• Ensuring the Programme is being delivered against the NEC contractual agreements.
• Manage design development, construction and commissioning.
• Work with the internal professional advisers to ensure that works proceed in accordance with the planning permission, licenses and compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Lead health, safety, well-being, quality and environmental performance.
• Scrutinise contractor information, including applications for payment, programmes, compensation events and early warning notices.
• Chair meetings with designers, stakeholders and contractors to coordinate works.
• Manage key stakeholder relationships to enable the success of the project.
• Produce monthly progress reports and enable timely decision making to deliver successful commercial outcomes.

This role needs someone on site, a visible leader to both the internal team and stakeholders. As well as an escalation point for any issues that occur with the Technical or Operational aspects of the project.

Required Experience

• Formal qualification - HNC / HND or Degree in Civil Engineering
• Proven project experience delivering a £50m+ project, ideally working in partnership with the client or on behalf of the client.
• Full driving licence
• Able to live in Southampton 4-5 days per week for the next 3 years.
