Programme Manager

• Contract Duration: 9 Months Initially

Reed Professional Services is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Central Gov client we are working with. The role involves designing and developing the PSG portfolio and working with stakeholders to implement the portfolio by creating and managing the governance processes. This pivotal role requires a high level of expertise in portfolio and programme management within the Central Government.

• Develop a portfolio of programmes and projects, including establishing governance and controls.
• Engage and manage senior stakeholders effectively.
• Plan, schedule, and resource a medium-sized portfolio of projects and programmes (approximately 40).
• Manage portfolio risks and issues, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in place.
• Conduct portfolio reviews, health checks, P3M3, and Risk Maturity assessments in conjunction with Portfolio Managers.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure the portfolio aligns with strategic outcomes and delivers value.

• Prior experience at a senior level in Portfolio and Programme Management within Central Government.
• Proven track record of developing a portfolio of programmes and projects, including governance and controls.
• Extensive experience in senior stakeholder engagement and management.
• Experience in planning, scheduling, and resourcing a medium-sized portfolio of projects and programmes.
• Skilled in portfolio risk and issue management.
• Valid SC level Security Clearance is essential.
• (Desirable) Experience delivering services for a consultancy.
