A respected public sector organisation in Newcastle is seeking Temporary Programme Officers to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that make a real difference across the local area.

About the Role:
As a Programme Officer, you will play a key role in managing and processing funding claims from a range of organisations and businesses. Your work will ensure that public funds are allocated efficiently, transparently, and in line with programme requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and process funding claims from local organisations and businesses
• Ensure compliance with funding guidelines and documentation standards
• Liaise with stakeholders to resolve queries and gather supporting evidence
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to regular reporting
• Support programme monitoring and evaluation activities

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in programme administration, grant management, or a similar role
• Strong organisational and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• A proactive and detail-oriented approach

Contract Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: Minimum 3 months (with potential for extension)
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Location: Office-based in Newcastle (some hybrid flexibility may be considered)
