We are looking for:
Programme Tutor- Travel & Tourism
£31,061 to £35,997 per annum plus excellent benefits

The Role:

This is a very important appointment, the Retail and Commercial Faculty area that include Travel & Tourism, is central to our plans for the future, and we are looking for high calibre candidates. We want people who love their subject area, are committed to keeping up to date, but also want the professional challenge of developing outstanding pedagogical practice. We are investing in the facilities, employer relationships and the skills and knowledge of our staff. Course tutors teach approximately 24 hours per week and manage learner attendance on all aspects of their program of study, including learner assessment, tacking of learner progress against milestones, setting smart targets, employer engagement and other aspects of personal development, behaviours and welfare.
We anticipate that interviews for this role will be held week commencing Monday 8 th

July 2024.
You will need:
Teaching qualifications and Industry relevant experience
Experience at assessment, assessing learners against national standards and being able to write detailed learner feedback to support individual learning.
Experience in the curriculum delivery of both level 1 to level 3 Travel
Competence in the use of IT for learner administrative tasks and both face to face and on-line theory delivery is essential.
Commitment to engage with our college approach to delivering excellence in Teaching & Learning.
Commitment to personal CPD
Current (recent) industry experience
To be considered for this role you will need up to date knowledge of the awarding bodies for Travel and Tourism in the UK and have experience of working in FE.
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised individual who will be an asset to the faculty and a role model for our learners. The successful candidate must be dual skilled, having prior experience of working within the travel industry as well as recognised teaching qualifications. We are looking for a dynamic tutor who can engage and motivate young learners to work hard and achieve high grade results. We offer levels 1-3 within travel and tourism as well as cabin crew and aviation operations. The ability to stretch and challenge learners to ensure everyone works to their full potential and develop the knowledge skills and behaviours needed to work in this exciting industry.
The right individual will join a supportive faculty team that includes other curriculum areas, to secure high quality curriculum delivery and progression pathways as well as develop a flexible delivery model to suite both full time and part time learners, on site and off site/on-line learning.
