British Steel is investing in the future of UK steelmaking and delivering significant business transformation. We're seeking an experienced PMO Manager to establish and lead our Project Management Office.

What you need to know about the role

This is a rare opportunity to build a PMO from the ground up, impacting, project delivery, and organisational change across a complex industrial business.

* Establish and lead the British Steel PMO function.

* Develop project, programme and portfolio governance frameworks.

* Oversee project performance, risks, costs, benefits, and dependencies.

* Support strategic investment and prioritisation decisions.

* Drive project management best practice and continuous improvement.

* Influence stakeholders and provide insight to senior leadership.

What we need to know about you

* Experience delivering large-scale transformation, operational improvement or capital investment programmes.

* Strong PMO, portfolio management or programme experience.

* Expertise in governance, financial controls and benefits realisation.

* Outstanding stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

* PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, PMP or equivalent project management qualification.

* Strong understanding of PMO best practice and portfolio management methodologies.
