Job Description - Programmes and Partnerships Officer

The PTI (formerly The Prince’s Teaching Institute) is a successful education charity that supports teachers in primary and secondary schools in England and Wales. We are looking for enthusiastic and ambitious individuals who are eager to work in an organisation where each day they will make a difference to front-line teachers and the pupils they teach. This might be as your first full-time role after a period of study, or a next step / new career direction for you. You will be part of a high-calibre team, who will support and develop you in your role, so that you can expand your professional skills and experience to take forward into your future career at The PTI and beyond.

One successful candidate will work with the Delivery team providing training for school teachers. A second successful candidate will work across the Delivery team and with the newly created Partnerships team assisting with the promotion of all of The PTI’s programmes and assisting on fundraising.

This is an exciting opportunity for those wishing to gain experience in a highly successful charity where you will be encouraged to think for yourself and take responsibility for a variety of projects. The successful candidates will have day-to-day contact with a wide variety of teachers, headteachers and other school staff, joining the staff team of 16 and working closely with The PTI’s Teacher Leaders (who deliver our programmes in conjunction with subject expert speakers). You will also be involved with events, fundraising, communications and marketing to our charity’s supporters and partner organisations in the sector.

The charity is currently offering a hybrid working week with the option to work at home on two days per week.  All IT equipment will be provided, but a home internet connection will be needed should the successful applicants wish to work at home for a part of the week.

Ideally, we would like the successful candidates to start in September or October 2026.

These roles include a significant amount of travel, visiting schools and delivering events nationwide, and so will particularly suit individuals who enjoy meeting new people and are willing to undertake regular UK travel to assist running The PTI’s events.
