Job Description - Progress Coach Team Leader - 37 hours a week, 38 weeks a year

Progress Coach Team Leader
Salary - £22.292 per annum (£26,527 pro rata)
37 hours a week 38 weeks a year

Who are we looking for?

Burton and South Derbyshire College have a rare opportunity to appoint a Progress Coach Team Leader, to guide and support the Progress Coache team, Attendance Monitoring Coach and Student Council Representatives to provide outstanding support and guidance for our learners.

The successful candidate will have previous experience working with young people in a supportive role alongside managing or supporting a team. We are seeking someone who can be understanding of the local community and the barriers faced by our learners, able to communicate effectively, and create a range of interventions and support packages for our learners to access under our ‘BE’ development package. This role also includes being a safeguarding officer within our safeguarding team.

A positive ‘can do’ attitude is required, coupled with a friendly and approachable nature. The position requires the successful candidate to be able to prioritise workloads and respond flexibly as situations demand.

The role will be based between our Burton and Swadlincote Campus, this will be discussed once appointed to ensure full support to the team and learners is provided.

We are looking for an approachable organised empathetic person with experience of safeguarding young people to join our team.

Applicants should be qualified to, or willing to work towards, Level 2 English and Maths. Evidence of qualifications is required.
