The Role & Company 

We’re working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Corby looking to add a Project & Sales Coordinator to its customer projects team.

This is a busy, varied role sitting between customers, suppliers and internal teams, helping manage customer orders/projects from the initial enquiry and quotation stage right through to order, delivery and aftersales.

It’s a process and administration-oriented role, but it goes considerably further than straightforward order processing. You’ll be responsible for pulling together quotations, obtaining supplier pricing and lead times, managing revisions with customers and then coordinating successful orders through to delivery.

What will you be doing?

Acting as a key point of contact for customers with project requirements
Preparing quotations, pricing and supporting documentation
Speaking with suppliers to obtain prices and lead times for products and materials
Managing quotations through multiple revisions as customer requirements develop
Processing sales orders and raising purchase orders
Coordinating bought-in products alongside internally manufactured items
Keeping track of materials, supplier lead times and order progress
Keeping customers informed throughout the process
Working closely with technical, sales, manufacturing and customer service teams

Managing several quotations and customer orders at different stages simultaneously

Supporting customers with any queries or issues through to delivery and aftersales
Building your knowledge of a broad technical product range
Salary 
Dependant on experience and suitability to the role, the salary on offer is between £29,000 & £32,000 p/annum 

Location
Mainly site based out of Corby office

The Ideal Candidate & Suitable Experience  

Customer-facing experience
Comfortable dealing with customers by phone and, importantly, professionally over email.
Strong organisation / coordination
Able to juggle multiple quotations and customer orders simultaneously, keeping track of deadlines and individual requirements

Process and detail driven
Happy working in a structured role involving quotations, orders, POs, documentation and systems. 
Calm and level-headed
The team can get busy and deadline-driven, so they specifically want someone steady rather than easily flustered.
Good written communication
This was specifically raised on the call because a lot of the customer communication and technical documentation goes backwards and forwards over email.
Team fit / relationship builder
They want someone personable who can develop long-term relationships with customers and work well with the established team.
