Are you an experienced museum or heritage professional with a passion for collections management and preserving significant cultural assets?
We are seeking a Project Curator to join our Collections team on a 24-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on role focused on the rationalisation of the Museum’s sign collection in line with recognised museum sector standards and best practice.
Working within a collaborative collections team, you will play a key role in auditing and reviewing the sign collection, assessing documentation, making disposal recommendations to the LTM Board and completing disposal actions. You will manage the work of two volunteers on the project as well as work on the reorganisation and display of the sign store. You will also support colleagues in the Communities and Participation team deliver short creative engagement courses, paid placements, community curated displays and the co-production of object interpretation.
