Description
Develop customer-focused technical solutions that are practical, compliant, cost-effective, and support both operational and commercial requirements. Provide technical support during bids and proposals, including solution definition, risk identification, and development of robust, deliverable designs to improve conversion rates. Produce and maintain engineering layouts and drawings, including 2D GA drawings, 3D CAD layouts, installation plans, and equipment/interface designs. Coordinate project delivery activities by working with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to meet schedules, milestones, and engineering commitments. Manage supplier integration and equipment interfaces, reviewing technical submissions, resolving technical queries, and supporting system performance validation. Identify, track, and mitigate technical risks and changes throughout the project lifecycle, maintaining risk registers and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Support site-based activities including Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), installation, commissioning, issue resolution, and project handover. Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance by maintaining controlled documentation, supporting audits and reviews, meeting CE/UKCA requirements, and promoting safe working practices.Profile

To be successful in this role you must be a technically capable and commercially aware Project Engineer with proven experience delivering capital equipment projects within the food manufacturing or food processing industry The ideal candidate can translate customer requirements into practical, robust engineering solutions Confidently manage technical risk and coordinate multidisciplinary teams and suppliers. They will have a strong understanding of automated production lines, machinery integration, food industry standards, and CE/UKCA compliance. Demonstrate excellent systems thinking, sound engineering judgement, strong planning and organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. A proactive, collaborative approach, attention to detail, and a commitment to engineering excellence, safety, quality, and continuous improvement are essential, together with the ability to balance technical performance, project schedules, and commercial objectives in a fast-paced project environment.Job Offer
