We are working with a global leading manufacturing/engineering company. We are recruiting for an experienced Project Development Engineer/Manager to work from their Congleton site
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER/MANAGER JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a Product Development Engineer who is passionate about finding and deploying reliable solutions for the world’s great sustainability challenges. You will be responsible for identifying and developing opportunities for Upgrade projects at operational plants around the world. You will be a part of a competent team working towards implementation of new technologies, products and carbon reducing solutions for their existing clients. Additionally, this role will involve site visits and active engagement in client and supplier communication, ensuring effective partnerships throughout the project lifecycle.
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER/MANAGER DUTIES
* Identify and develop opportunities for Upgrade projects in close collaboration with our Key Account Managers (“KAMs”) for clients with operational plants:
- Data collection of current plant performance. Preparing process calculations showing technical and financial benefits of Upgrade project. Validating and demonstrating business cases to the clients.
* Drive technical sales through data analysis, concept designs, product presentations and collaborating in interdisciplinary team to develop solutions tailored to customer needs, while aligning with company objectives.
* Develop proposals for Upgrade projects:
* Participate in the multi-discipline team shaping the commercial proposals for Upgrade projects.
* Establish preliminary projects schedules and resource allocation needs.
* Gather input for pricing and commercial conditions.
* Bring the lead from proposal through contract definition to signature.
* Manage aftermarket sales pipeline through CRM.
* You will find yourself in the centre of one of our clients strategic growth areas, having critical impact on the further development of the Upgrades business.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER/MANAGER REQUIREMENTS
* Analytical, structured, systematic and result-oriented.
* Skilled within thermodynamics, process design and calculations.
* Enjoy collaboration across disciplines and cultures. Comfortable in client communication.
* Curious, with a natural inclination to share and learn new skills.
* Enjoy combining technical skills and commercial mindset to provide good value to the client.
* A Master’s (MSc), or equivalent degree in Process/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental/ Electrical Engineering.
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
* Experience from wastewater-, pulper and paper- or agriculture industry would be an advantage.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER/MANAGER PACKAGE AND BENEFITS
* Working Monday to Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-4.30pm
