Job Description - Project Development Specialist

The role:
To deliver the assigned project(s) on behalf of the company and support the New Technologies sales team in development of engineered solutions to client problems.
Majority of time spent will be supporting Sales, Business Development & Proposals functions with technical site visits, technical reports, equipment appraisal and selection. Reviewing civils information packages and providing design input. Supporting the ongoing development of New Technologies at Clarke Energy.

Role & Responsibilities:
It is envisaged that this role will:
Assist external and internal sales team in developing technical solutions.
Where appropriate produce feasibility and investment grade audit documents.
Attend site visits and prepare detailed reports to assist Proposals and Engineering functions prepare technically compliant and innovative proposals.
Work alongside Engineering, Projects, and Service to ensure the business understands the integration of any new technologies’ opportunity.
Review employer requirement’s documents and drawings and comment accordingly.
Prepare tender level project delivery programmes, project execution plans and project delivery concepts.
Meet with prospective and existing customers, developers, and specifiers of new technologies opportunities.
If required on specific opportunities, and following agreement with the Line Manager, provide support and training to sales, business development and proposals teams across the other territories.

Microgrids / Hybridised Power Solutions
Hydrogen fuelled Jenbacher Gas Engines
Large Engine Applications
Biomethane Injection / Renewables Natural Gas
Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage
Electrolysis
Fuel Cells

About you:

Technical/Professional Knowledge and Skills:
Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar technical subject) from a recognised institution (alternative higher education certificates may be considered where supported by relevant industrial experience).
Detailed understanding of civil engineering principles and project engineering.
Good understanding of power generation technologies, project development and project integration.
Have a working knowledge of territory specific regulation, technical requirements and standards relating to gas engine operation.
Good IT skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and experience using Microsoft Project.

Desirable:
A background in civil engineering is desirable.
The successful candidate would ideally have a working knowledge of power generation and experience in renewable engineer and project engineering.
Willingness to travel and work away from home as required.
Experience in project development and delivery of energy projects.

This a full time permanent position, based in our head office in Liverpool with the option of home working. There will be an element of travel for the role as we cover the UK & Ireland. The working hours are Monday to Friday 37.5 hours.
