Senior Project Engineer - Offshore Cable Installation
Location: Blyth, Science Central
Type: Full-time | Seniority: Mid-Senior Level
Salary: £45,000 - £85,000 basic + additional benefits

A leading offshore Engineering organisation is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the delivery of complex offshore EPCI cable lay projects. This is a key role involving end-to-end responsibility for project scope, methodology development, equipment coordination, and offshore execution support.

You'll act as a technical and operational focal point-ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality project delivery in line with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop method statements and risk assessments for subsea cable installation.
- Coordinate resources, equipment, and subcontractors for offshore scopes.
- Support project execution offshore, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Lead internal reviews, interface with stakeholders, and support bid/tender preparation.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

What We're Looking For
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Offshore, or similar).
- Experience in offshore cable lay, burial, or subsea construction projects.
- Strong project coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Comfortable supporting offshore operations and working in dynamic environments.
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and ideally AutoCAD.
