Project Engineer

?? Project Engineer – NEC Contract Experience | Hybrid (Whiteley) | Rail Sector Preferred ??

We are working with a leading infrastructure and signalling client to recruit an experienced Project Engineer with strong NEC contract knowledge. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic team delivering high-impact engineering projects across the rail sector.

?? Location: Hybrid working with regular travel to Whiteley
?? Contract Type: Long-term contract
?? Sector: Infrastructure / Rail (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of engineering projects under NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Manage schedules, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.
• Oversee contractual processes including early warnings, compensation events, and programme updates.
• Coordinate internal teams, contractors, and clients to ensure timely delivery of designs and documentation.
• Maintain project plans using MS Project, Teamcenter, and CDE platforms.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, technical standards, and NEC obligations.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience managing projects under NEC contracts.
• Background in infrastructure; rail experience highly desirable.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proficient in project management tools (MS Project, Teamcenter).
• Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
