An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to join a successful and growing engineering manufacturer based in Great Gransden.
This is a varied role where you will take responsibility for engineering projects from order through to installation, commissioning and final handover.
You will act as the main point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with customers, internal engineering teams, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification and within agreed commercial requirements.
The role is predominantly office based, although regular customer site visits will form part of the position. UK overnight stays and occasional overseas travel may also be required, including supporting or overseeing installations where necessary.
The Role
You will take ownership of projects from receipt of order through to successful installation and handover.
This will include agreeing the project scope, developing and maintaining project schedules and coordinating activity across internal departments, suppliers and customer sites.
You will prepare and maintain key project documentation including scope of supply, timing plans, P&IDs, Bills of Materials, provisional layout drawings and associated technical documentation.
The role will also involve specifying and sourcing bought-out components and equipment, managing project changes and ensuring any commercial or technical implications are properly controlled.
You will coordinate equipment delivery, installation resources, RAMS and site documentation, as well as supporting Factory Acceptance Testing, Site Acceptance Testing, training and final documentation handover.
You will remain commercially aware throughout each project, ensuring milestones are achieved and invoices are issued at the appropriate stages.
About You
You will ideally have previous experience as a Project Engineer, Mechanical Project Engineer, Engineering Project Manager or similar within an engineering or process environment.
A proven track record of successfully delivering engineering projects is essential, along with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
