Electrical Project Engineer Location: Pennington (Site Based) Salary: £55,000 per annum Hours: 45 hours per week Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 6:00pm Friday: 7:30am - 4:00pm The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a growing project delivery team working on major infrastructure and industrial projects. This role is responsible for overseeing the delivery of electrical works from construction and installation through to testing, commissioning and project handover. Working closely with project managers, subcontractors, clients and design teams, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within specification and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities ·Coordinate and manage electrical subcontractors, suppliers and specialist vendors. ·Provide on-site electrical engineering support throughout construction, installation, testing and commissioning activities. ·Supervise electrical installations to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, industry standards and client requirements. ·Review technical documentation and resolve design queries, technical issues and non-conformances. ·Support project planning, programme delivery, progress monitoring and reporting. ·Witness and oversee inspections, factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), testing and commissioning activities. ·Ensure all electrical works are completed safely and in accordance with current legislation, company procedures and industry best practice. ·Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, designers and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery. ·Maintain accurate site records, quality documentation, as-built drawings and project handover information. ·Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance and safe working practices across all site activities. Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have: ·A Degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering. ·Previous experience delivering electrical works on construction, infrastructure, utilities, water or industrial projects. ·Strong knowledge of low voltage (LV) electrical systems, instrumentation, control systems and commissioning activities. ·Experience supervising site-based electrical installations and managing subcontractors. ·A sound understanding of relevant electrical standards, regulations and health and safety requirements. ·Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. ·The ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders. ·A full UK driving licence. ·Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
