Are you looking for a varied role where you can work on specialist projects, solve real engineering challenges and become part of an established business within the irrigation and water management sector? Our client is looking for a capable and driven Project Engineer / Irrigation Systems Engineer to join its team based in Corby . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical engineering, technical problem-solving and taking ownership of projects from planning through to installation, commissioning and completion. Why This Role Is Exciting Work with specialist irrigation systems, pumps, controls and mechanical equipment Take ownership of varied engineering projects from start to finish Use your mechanical, electrical and electronics knowledge in a practical, hands-on environment Join an established and respected business with a strong reputation in its sector Work with customers, suppliers and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions Develop specialist knowledge in irrigation, water management and automated control systems What You’ll Be Doing Managing and supporting irrigation engineering projects from initial brief through to completion Assisting with system design, equipment selection, installation and commissioning Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and electronic faults Working on pumps, motors, valves, sensors, control panels, pipework and associated equipment Liaising with customers, suppliers and internal engineering teams Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals Supporting site-based installations, servicing and technical problem-solving where required Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards Identifying practical improvements to system performance, reliability and efficiency Keeping accurate records of work completed, parts used and project progress What We’re Looking For We are looking for a practical engineer with a strong technical background and the ability to work confidently across mechanical, electrical and electronic systems. You may currently be working as a: Project Engineer Mechanical Engineer Electrical Engineer Multi-Skilled Engineer Field Service Engineer Pump Engineer Agricultural Engineer Irrigation Engineer Maintenance Engineer Installation Engineer Skills and Experience Required Strong mechanical engineering knowledge Good understanding of electrical and electronic systems Experience with pumps, motors, control panels, sensors, valves, automation or machinery Ability to fault-find and solve technical issues Confident reading technical drawings, wiring diagrams or manuals Practical, organised and able to manage work through to completion Strong communication skills with the ability to deal with customers, suppliers and colleagues Experience in irrigation, agriculture, water systems, manufacturing, machinery or process equipment would be highly advantageous Full UK driving licence preferred What’s on Offer Salary of £40,000 to £45,000 per annum Permanent role based in Corby Varied engineering work across projects, installation, commissioning and technical support Opportunity to develop specialist expertise in irrigation systems and water management Supportive team environment Long-term career opportunity with an established specialist business Apply Now If you are a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working with specialist equipment, this could be an excellent next step.
