Project Engineer (Manufacturing)

About the role [Company] is a [FMCG / automotive / industrial] manufacturer investing in new lines and equipment. We need a Project Engineer to deliver capital projects safely, on time and on budget.

What you will do

* Scope, plan and deliver engineering projects, from new machinery to line upgrades

* Write specifications and manage suppliers and contractors

* Track budgets, timelines and risks, and report progress to management

* Oversee installation, commissioning and handover to production

* Make sure projects meet health, safety and CDM requirements

* Work with production, maintenance and quality teams throughout

What you need

* Degree or HNC in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering

* 3+ years in a project or engineering role in manufacturing

* Experience managing contractors and equipment installations

* Good knowledge of machinery safety and CDM

* Strong planning and communication skills

Nice to have

* Experience with capital projects of £250k+

* Project management training (APM, PRINCE2 or similar)

* CAD skills (AutoCAD or SolidWorks)
