Location: Great Western Hospital, Wiltshire, SN3 6BB
Salary: Circa £28,000 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Full time 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

As a Project Liaison Officer in our Great Western Hospital team, you’ll support the successful delivery of on-site projects by coordinating contractors, stakeholders and operational teams. Your work will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to essential hospital services.

This is a role with real purpose. Working in a busy healthcare environment, you’ll help create impactful solutions that support patients, employees and the wider community. By maintaining strong communication, careful planning and trusted relationships across multiple stakeholders, you’ll make a positive impact on communities while helping to build a better future through safe and effective project delivery.

What you’ll do as a Project Liaison Officer

• Coordinate meetings, including user groups, project boards, pre-start meetings and stakeholder planning sessions.


• Support project delivery by organising contractor inductions, access arrangements and site activities.


• Liaise with contractors, hospital departments and project stakeholders to ensure works are planned and communicated effectively.


• Coordinate service isolations through the Permit to Work (PtW) system and ensure compliance requirements are met.


• Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders and highlight risks or operational impacts.


• Collate project documentation, witness testing activities and support project completion processes.

Does this sound like you?

• Experience supporting projects, contractor management or stakeholder coordination activities.


• Qualifications in Building Services, Mechanical, Electrical or Building Fabric disciplines.


• Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust and work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities.


• Strong documentation, administration and project procedure skills, ideally gained within a facilities management or healthcare environment.

Vetting and checks:

A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
