We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager to support a transformation programme, delivering complex projects focused on improving service delivery, driving efficiencies, and implementing new ways of working.
You will be responsible for managing projects from concept through to delivery, working with stakeholders across multiple service areas to achieve business benefits and successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex projects within a structured programme environment, ensuring delivery against scope, budget, quality, and timescales. Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, risks/issues logs, governance documentation, and progress reports. Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency savings, and service transformation. Manage project resources, including cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Apply recognised project and change management methodologies to deliver successful outcomes. Track project benefits and ensure they are realised following implementation. Present project updates and reports to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
Essential Experience:
Significant experience delivering complex change and transformation projects from initiation through to business-as-usual. Experience working within a local authority or public office. Proven background managing business redesign or improvement projects. Strong understanding of project management and change management methodologies. Experience producing project documentation, budgets, reports, risk assessments, and plans. Experience using tools such as MS Project, Visio, or equivalent. Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and senior levels.
Desirable:
PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent project management qualification. Experience using workshop and collaboration tools such as Miro, Lucid, Mentimeter, or Microsoft Whiteboard.This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with a strong transformation background to support a high-profile change programme and deliver meaningful improvements across services.
