An established and growing main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver a range of building and refurbishment projects within the Network Rail environment.

This is not rail engineering. Instead, you'll be delivering construction, refurbishment, fit out and building works across operational Network Rail assets. The business has a long-standing presence within the rail sector, delivering projects as a Principal Contractor on Network Rail frameworks alongside commercial, healthcare and retail schemes.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Director, you'll take full responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Projects typically include refurbishment, fit out, maintenance and new build works in live operational environments.

Responsibilities

Manage projects from pre-construction through to completion.

Lead site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.

*

Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

*

Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders.

*

Monitor programme, commercial performance and quality.

*

Ensure full compliance with Network Rail standards and procedures.

*

Chair progress meetings and provide regular project updates.

Requirements

*

Previous experience as a Project Manager with a UK main contractor.

*

Essential experience delivering projects within the Network Rail environment.

*

PTS Card (essential).

*

Strong knowledge of refurbishment, fit out or building projects.

*

Excellent client-facing and leadership skills.

*

SMSTS and CSCS.

*

Commercially aware with strong programme management experience.
