Site-based role delivering a high-quality commercial project in Angel
Up to £80,000 plus package

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of a £1.6 million commercial fit-out project in Angel.
 
You will be the number one on site, leading the project from start through to handover and taking control of the programme, subcontractors, quality, health and safety, and client relationship.
 
Crucially, this is not simply a position for one project. The contractor has an excellent pipeline of secured work and is looking for someone who can become a key, long-term member of its operational team.
 
The Company
Our client is an established fit-out and interiors contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across London and the wider South East.
 
Established for almost 30 years, the company has grown into a successful multi-million-pound business while retaining the close-knit, family feel and direct decision-making of an SME.
 
Their capabilities cover commercial fit-out, refurbishment, drylining, ceilings, glazed partitions, fire protection, carpentry and bespoke interior solutions.
 
The business operates across the commercial, retail, leisure, residential and public sectors, with an impressive portfolio of offices, hotels, retail environments, museums and other technically demanding buildings.
 
With a strong pipeline already secured, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager who can successfully deliver the Angel project before moving onto further work within the business.
 
The Role
You will be site-based in Angel and take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of this £1.6 million commercial project.
 
You will lead from the front, manage the site team and supply chain, and ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the high standards expected by both the contractor and client.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

Taking overall responsibility for the project from start through to handover
Managing and coordinating subcontractors, direct labour and suppliers
Driving the construction programme and achieving key milestones
Maintaining high standards of workmanship across all fit-out packages
Managing site health and safety
Chairing progress meetings and producing regular project reports
Building a strong working relationship with the client and consultants
Liaising closely with the commercial, design and senior management teams
Identifying and resolving design, programme and logistical issues
Monitoring procurement schedules, materials and lead times
Managing variations alongside the commercial team
Overseeing snagging, completion and final handover The Opportunity
You will be joining an established and growing SME where good Project Managers are trusted to run their jobs properly and have direct access to the company's senior leadership team.
 
The strong pipeline means you will have continuity beyond the initial Angel project, with the opportunity to deliver further commercial fit-out and refurbishment schemes across London and the South East.

Requirements

Proven experience delivering commercial fit-out or refurbishment projects
Previous experience acting as the number one Project Manager on site
A strong understanding of drylining, ceilings, partitions and internal finishes
Experience managing projects of approximately £1 million or above
Strong programming, organisational and problem-solving skills
The ability to manage subcontractors and maintain programme momentum
Confident dealing directly with clients, consultants and senior management
Excellent health and safety awareness
Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications
Able to work site-based in Angel Get in Touch
