About the Role:

Design is at the heart of everything our client does, an internationally acclaimed design studio, with a project management model that places the PM at the heart of every project. As a Project Manager, you will be pivotal in managing and nurturing client relationships while ensuring the highest design quality is maintained alongside the commercial aspects of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Liaison & Commercial Leadership : Serve as the main point of contact for clients, leading contract negotiations, project setup, and financial management. Ensure all client expectations and contractual obligations are met, safeguarding the design integrity.
Project Coordination : Work closely with the internal Design and Technical Team to manage the workflow and program from conception to completion, including post-occupancy phases.
Resource Management : Strategically allocate resources in collaboration with the commercial team. Collaborating on team selection, workload distribution, and individual performance, ensuring optimal project delivery.
Financial Accountability : Monitor and report on project budgets, resource plans, and financial performance. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and handle variations, ensuring project financial health.
Communication & Collaboration : Lead project briefings, compile and maintain briefing documents, and ensure seamless communication across all teams. Maintain strong relationships with external partners and internal departments to support project success.
Quality Assurance : Ensure all project protocols and quality standards are met. Regularly update senior management on project status and performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Architectural Expertise : Proven experience as a Project/Design Manager with a background in architecture. Familiarity with complex international design projects and high-level client engagements.
Strategic Thinker : Ability to strategize commercial responses, negotiate contracts, and manage project finances effectively. Adept at problem-solving and finding innovative solutions to challenges.
Collaborative Leader : Strong communication and organisational skills with a collaborative and humble approach. Capable of building long-term relationships and nurturing a supportive team environment.
Flexible & Adaptable : Experience with various project types and regions. Open to different methods, technologies, and processes.
Tech-Savvy : Proficiency in software tools such as MS Project, InDesign, and Excel.
