Project Manager Construction Consultancy

A leading construction consultancy in London is looking for a Project Manager to join its established project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager with strong commercial fit-out experience to deliver high-quality workplace and office projects for major occupiers, landlords, and corporate clients.

The Project Manager will take responsibility for commercial fit-out projects from inception through to completion, working closely with clients, designers, consultants, and contractors. This Project Manager role would suit a confident Project Manager who understands fast-paced fit-out programmes, can manage demanding stakeholders, and is comfortable leading projects within occupied or operational environments. The successful Project Manager will join a respected consultancy with a strong pipeline of London-based commercial work.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.

The Project Manager's role

The Project Manager will lead commercial fit-out projects through feasibility, design development, procurement, construction, handover, and close-out.

The Project Manager will manage programmes, budgets, consultant teams, procurement strategies, risk registers, project reporting, and stakeholder communication. They will chair project meetings, coordinate design information, monitor contractor performance, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality.

The Project Manager will also support client presentations, prepare progress reports, manage change control, and provide clear advice throughout the project lifecycle. Depending on experience, the Project Manager may also support larger and more complex commissions alongside senior colleagues.

The Project Manager

The successful Project Manager will have:

Prior experience working within a construction consultancy
Strong commercial office fit-out experience
Experience delivering projects through pre-contract and post-contract stages
A degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, or a related discipline
MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB, or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and fit-out procurement
Experience managing consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders
Excellent communication, organisation, and reporting skills
A proactive, professional, and commercially aware approach
