Project Manager – £25m Hotel Conversion
Location: Croydon
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: Up to £85k plus package
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a landmark £25m hotel conversion, involving multi‑floor refurbishment, restaurant fit‑outs, front‑of‑house upgrades, and external works. This is a complex, high‑value scheme that requires a leader who understands the unique challenges of hotel environments and can drive a project from pre‑construction through to handover with confidence and precision.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of the project’s delivery, ensuring programme, quality, safety, and commercial targets are met. You’ll manage multiple work fronts across several floors, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and maintain a strong client relationship throughout the build.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle on a £25m hotel conversion
- Oversee multi‑floor refurbishment, including bedrooms, corridors, and back‑of‑house areas
- Manage restaurant and front‑of‑house fit‑outs to a high‑end specification
- Coordinate external works such as façade improvements, landscaping, and access routes
- Drive programme delivery, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Lead project teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure seamless coordination
- Maintain strong communication with the client, design team, and commercial team
- Ensure all works comply with H&S regulations and company standards
- Produce accurate progress reports and maintain project documentation
About You
We’re looking for a Project Manager who brings both technical expertise and strong leadership. Ideally, you will have:
- Proven experience delivering hotel projects – refurbishments, conversions, or new builds
- A track record managing complex, multi‑phase construction schemes
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management skills
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts in a live or sensitive environment
- SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid (or equivalent qualifications)
