Project Manager (Building Surveying Background)
📍 Leeds | Hybrid Working💰 £50,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits A leading construction and property consultancy is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join its growing team in Leeds.This opportunity would suit a Building Surveyor looking to focus more heavily on project delivery, or an established Project Manager with a strong Building Surveying background. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a range of refurbishment, capital works and infrastructure projects across both public and private sector clients.
Experience administering NEC contracts is essential, with exposure to JCT contracts considered advantageous.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing projects through their full life cycle, from feasibility and design development through to construction and handover.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the delivery of construction and property projects from inception to completion. Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders. Administering and managing NEC contracts throughout project delivery. Coordinating multidisciplinary design and project teams. Managing project programmes, budgets and risks. Monitoring contractor performance and project progress. Undertaking site inspections and attending project meetings. Preparing project reports and providing regular client updates. Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. Supporting business development activities and maintaining strong client relationships.About You
Degree qualified in Building Surveying, Project Management or a related property/construction discipline. Experience delivering refurbishment, capital works or infrastructure projects. Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts. Previous Building Surveying experience would be highly advantageous. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Commercially aware with strong problem-solving abilities. MRICS, MAPM or working towards a professional qualification would be beneficial. Full UK driving licence.What's on Offer?
