Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of a portfolio of rail and civil engineering projects, including current and upcoming opportunities within the MetroWest Programme across the Bristol and Portishead area.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Project Manager with experience in rail, bridges, highways or major infrastructure projects to take ownership of multiple live schemes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the successful delivery of bridge, highways and civil engineering projects. Lead project teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure all projects are delivered safely and in line with client, company and industry standards. Take ownership of project programmes, budgets, resource planning and commercial performance. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local authorities. Manage risks, opportunities, change control and project reporting. Oversee Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance across all sites. Coordinate engineering, planning, commercial and site delivery teams to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Project Manager within rail, civil engineering or major infrastructure projects. Strong background delivering bridges, highways, structures or rail civils packages. Experience managing multiple workstreams and project teams simultaneously. Excellent stakeholder and client management skills. Strong commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets and programme delivery. Knowledge of NEC contracts. SMSTS and CSCS required. Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline desirable.
