Interiors Subcontractor
Our client is a young and rapidly expanding specialist subcontractor providing ceiling & partitioning packages to a number of their Tier-1 main contractor clients. Projects are undertaken across a wide variety of industry sectors including commercial offices, residential, hospitals & pharmaceutical, data centres, education, public sector (and more). Established for 5-years this company is already turning over £25m P/A whilst maintaining solid margins and with a very strong forward order book they are on course for a further 10% - 15% growth in 2024.
To help facilitate this growth our client is now seeking an additional Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This role will be based from their Central London head office with the majority of projects in and around the M25 (but some further afield with their geographical coverage growing as the company expands).
General Duties to include:
To measure, price and invoice all elements of work to be charged for
Alongside the Commercial Director, manage all commercial aspects of specific projects and complete tasks assigned ensuring agreed profit levels are maintained, negotiating, and quantifying with Operatives, and measuring works as specified to price.
Negotiate with clients, preparing detailed valuation and applications for payments with supporting documentation,including marked up drawings,defining and agreeing price variations and maintaining

margins.
To effectively communicate and build relationships with key clients, site supervisors, project/contract managers,operatives,surveyors,payroll and other head office staff on all aspects of Quantity Surveying on assigned projects to mitigate risk and maintain agreed

margins.
To be as elf-sufficient Job Surveyor who is able to work on their own initiative,while maintaining strong team relationships.
Work with other Quantity Surveyors to share your knowledge and expertise,acting as a mentor to less experienced team members.
Develop understanding of project costs,be able to influence the control of costs and prepare / present monthly CVRs
Plan and organise work effectively, understanding the commercial implications of design change and achieve key application dates and timelines.
Reconcile tender to works and identify any additional work s or variations
Manageinformationtoensuretimelyapplicationforpaymentwithmaincontractorand operative wages
Liaise with Site Management and co-produce monthly reporting for specific projects.
Accurately estimate and evaluate pricework of operatives, make decisions on rate of pay, additional rates, and price variations, whilst maintaining agreed margins and employee satisfaction through labour retention.
Applicants should a stable work history with specific experience of working for a specialist partitioning, ceilings, drylining subcontractor
