Job Description - Project Sales Engineer - Power Distribution

Your journey here is not just about a job; it\u0027s about a shared vision for a brighter, more sustainable future.\n\nAs a Project Sales Engineer, you\u2019ll play a key role in shaping Eaton\u2019s success across the UK commercial buildings market. This is a highly visible, autonomous role where you\u2019ll combine technical insight, relationship-building, and commercial drive to create real impact.\n\nYou will focus on Low Voltage solutions (e.g. transformers, switchboards, final distribution equipment) in the commercial buildings arena, whilst contributing to the growth of Eaton\u0027s Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure business. You will work closely with the peers in Ireland and UK for other business lines, business units, marketing teams and the commercial back office acquiring share through integrated business development activities. \n\nScope of target customers: predominantly electrical contractors but also building services consultants \u0026 Panel builder partners. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\n * Build and deliver a strong, sustainable, and profitable sales pipeline aligned with Eaton\u2019s quarterly and annual targets\n * Engage customers through a dynamic mix of face\u2011to\u2011face and digital selling, ensuring high-quality interactions that drive results\n * Take ownership of sales efficiency by actively embracing digital tools, CRM insights, and analytics\n * Lead pull\u2011through activity with key electrical contractors building services consultants and specifiers\n * Strengthen and expand our panel builder partner ecosystem, boosting demand generation and regional coverage\n * Support the energy transition by identifying and developing opportunities for EV charging and energy storage solutions\n * Collaborate closely with UK \u0026 Ireland business units and marketing teams to deliver strategic commercial building projects\n * Keep a sharp eye on the market: understand customer challenges, competitive trends, and contribute to new offering launches\n * Use CRM and sales analytics to track activity, manage pipeline health, and improve conversion rates\n * Champion Eaton\u2019s values by upholding the highest standards of ethics, safety, and integrity in everything you do\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\n * Business degree or further/college education\n * Experience in a B2B sales environment, ideally within construction, electrical, or technology sectors\n * Exposure to working with contractors, consultants, or specifiers\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Strong sales planning and execution capabilities\n * Confident user of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and analytics tools such as Power BI\n * Understanding of the UK construction sector, commercial building electrical infrastructure, and power distribution solutions\n * Ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally\n * Customer-focused mindset with a consistent track record of achieving results\n * Curious, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote role\n\n\n\n## What we offer:\n\n * Flexible working hours and remote model\n * Work in a company that is committed to Inclusion \u0026 Diversity and Sustainability\n * Annual mentoring program, Eaton University, a reward, and recognition system\n * Ongoing Learning and Career Development Opportunities in a global company.
