Job Description - Project Support Officer / SEO

The Role:
The role of the Project Support Officer covers a diverse range of activities to support the delivery of the Automation Centres objectives. The Project Support Officer enables the smooth running of the project by supporting the operation of project management processes, and the co-ordination of business

management actions and activities.
The post holder will report to the PMO Lead but will have a close working relationship with Automation Centre squads, particularly delivery managers, for their work.

Responsibilities:
The day-to-day duties may vary according to project needs and maturity but will encompass some or all of the following:
1. Risk management

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to transition and manage Automation Centre programme risks from MSPO and establish project level risks in ServiceNow GRC, towards Level 4 Risk Maturity
2. Governance and Change management

Provide secretariat functions for the Automation Centre governance bodies (SMT, Delivery Board, Strategic Sponsorship Board), including managing change requests and facilitating decisions in line with established processes
3. Planning and scheduling

Maintain the project pipeline, working alongside squads and delivery managers to provide project and resource planning and enable sound management of project spend in coordination with the Finance team
4. Reporting and Knowledge Management

commission, analyse, produce, and archive relevant programme/project files/reports, including managing the relevant SharePoint sites and workspaces where data is held; and support in the digitisation/automation of key PMO products
5. Stakeholder Management and Continuous Improvement

build the Automation Centres general project/programme management understanding and skills, contribute to the improvement of the PMOs service offer and build relationships within and outside the AC to establish productive links and opportunities
